As you read this, we have just arrived in Myanmar (Burma)! We are so excited about this opportunity to take the gospel back to this precious country. Here is a snapshot of what our ministry will look like this week.
- A church leadership conference for more than 150 pastors and church leaders.
- Bible school outreach for more than 300 children.
- Gospel Outreach for families in the slums and teenagers in a local rehabilitation center.
- Discipleship training and neighborhood evangelism with local house churches.
We believe that God is going to do great things during this mission and that He is going to draw men and women to Himself. We desperately need the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit to go with us and before us to prepare hearts to hear the gospel. As we go, here are some specific ways you can be praying for us.
Thur – Fri, November 8-9
We will be having our two-day pastors and church leadership conference in the city of Yangon. Pray for these men and women who will be coming in from all over the country to receive encouragement and training for the various ministries that God has called them to lead.
Saturday, November 10
Today we will be hanging out with more than 300 children! This is always a blast each year as we get to sing, play and teach the Bible to these precious children. Please pray that many of them would be saved this week!
Sunday, November 11
This morning, we will be worshiping with Pastor Ling’s house church and in the afternoon we will be serving and ministering to families in the city slums. Please pray for the hundreds of men, women and children who will hear the gospel.
Monday, November 12
We will be training local believers in how to share the gospel and make disciples among their own friends, family and neighbors.
Tuesday, November 13
We have been allowed access to a rehabilitation camp for teenagers. This unique opportunity will allow us to share the gospel with 300 teenagers who have faced extremely difficult challenges such as homelessness, drug addiction, and other legal troubles. Pray for these teenagers who are looking for a second chance in their lives. We know that there is hope for them in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Wed – Thurs, November 14-15
Pray for us as we begin the long journey back home. Pray that Holy Spirit would continue to work in Burma long after we are gone.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. We could not be on mission like this without your help.
