“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good,
for His mercy endures forever.” – Psalm 136:1
Several years ago, I read about a poor Christian family living in China. They were rice farmers who owned one ox to help them plow their fields. One day, the father was seen pulling the plow himself without his ox. Upon investigation it was discovered that the family had sold the ox and given the money to help meet a special need in their church. When the father was asked to explain the reason for their sacrifice, he simply said, “I’m just grateful that we had an ox to sell.”
When I think about how much I have been blessed with, it makes me realize how easy it is to take these blessings for granted. At this very special time of the year, Janet and I want to pause to say how thankful we are to have so many faithful friends, supporters, and prayer warriors like you. Thank you for standing with us year after year as we seek to obey the Great Commission and take the gospel message to the ends of the earth. Your investment in our ministry has helped us make a difference in the lives of thousands of people all over the world. We thank God for you.
